Linear to Present at CONNECTIONS the Premier Connected Home Conference and Showcase"Security systems have proven to be an important starting point in the spread of connected home technology, since so many consumers already have them and look to their security installers for guidance when expanding to other systems," said Duane Paulson, senior vice president of product and market development for Linear. "There is also great potential for health and wellness technologies in the connected home, since more people are living longer and will increasingly rely on monitoring or PERS solutions to remain in their homes as long as possible. Linear's recent acquisition of 2GIG and growing suite of integrated products show our commitment to delivering a connected home experience."

"Connected home devices and value-added services continue to be a source of added revenue for companies including security, health, monitoring and controls," said Stuart Sikes, president, Parks Associates. "CONNECTIONS addresses all aspects of the connected home, providing a comprehensive outlook and assessment of the market as well as strategic recommendations for enhancing and expanding consumer engagement."

Parks Associates’ research finds that global unit sales of connected CE, including smart TVs, connected Blu-ray players, connected game consoles, media tablets and digital video media receivers, will grow from approximately 247 million in 2012 to nearly 734 million by 2017.

Linear LLC is also a sponsor of CONNECTIONS and will be featured in the Connected Home Pavilion, an area within the CTIA 2013 Exhibit Hall, featuring new products and services for the connected consumer.
