Code Blue IP Phones Integrate with Genetec's Security Center Sipelia Software

Code Blue Corporation is excited to announce that its SIP-based IP emergency speakerphones have been certified for the Sipelia communications management module for Security Center 5.3 from Genetec, a provider of unified IP security solutions.

Code Blue’s IP5000 VoIP speakerphone has been tested and certified for Genetec’s Sipelia, Version 2.0, which also supports, by design, Code Blue’s IP1500 and IP2500 small-footprint VoIP phones. It unifies Code Blue’s entire IP phone series with Omnicast, Synergis and AutoVu from Genetec.

“Code Blue continues to strive to provide a versatile range of advanced applications and options,” Chief Operating Officer David Cook said. “Working with Genetec shows our commitment to providing our customers with a choice for a complete, end-to-end security solution that works best for their needs.”

This integration will enable effective communication between operators and IP speakerphones deployed throughout a location in a single system. In addition to handling all incoming calls, customers will have the ability to open gates and access doors, work with CCTV systems, control lights, transfer calls to public address systems and incorporate other security devices and applications. All information also will be archived for future review. The functionality is similar to Code Blue’s proprietary event management software, Blue Alert EMS.

“By unifying the SIP-based communications capabilities of Sipelia with our flagship security system, Security Center, Genetec helps enterprise customers truly realize the benefits of integrated communications within their security platform,” said Jimmy Palatsoukas, senior manager of Product Marketing at Genetec. “By supporting the Code Blue IP5000 VoIP speakerphone system integration, Genetec is able to offer customers who are looking for a holistic approach to security this powerful communications management option, allowing them to better respond to emergency situations or threats.”
